This writing my not make the most sense, I am still thinking through my idea.
For this piece, I was trying to relate it to the beginning of a journey. Intimidating, vast, and a lot of unknowns. Not knowing where you're going can be scary, but it's not always a bad thing. The tiny figure in the piece is on her way towards whatever may be over those mountains. The world is vast and she may be small, but she's determined, so who knows where she may go.
When your start something it feels like it will be a much bigger ordeal than it usually ends up being.
I feel that this is a very cool idea. I think the initial image you chose is very beautiful.
